How to Set Up an Earndrop

Galxe Earndrop is a secure and scalable infrastructure designed to help TGE (Token Generation Event) projects distribute tokens to millions of eligible addresses efficiently and reliably. Built with smart contract-based architecture, Earndrop ensures a trustless claiming process while maintaining flexibility and control for project teams.

To set up an Earndrop, go to the dashboard page and head to the Earndrop section.

Set Earndrop info

This section is where you define the core details of your Earndrop.

  • Earndrop Name

This is the public-facing name of your Earndrop, which users will see. Choose a clear and descriptive name that reflects the Earndrop's purpose, such as “Mainnet Launch Earndrop”. A well-chosen name helps participants quickly understand the Earndrop.

  • Rules

Clearly outline the participation rules, eligibility criteria (beyond what's set in the "Eligibility Settings"), and any other important instructions for users. This helps manage expectations and prevent misunderstandings.

  • Token Contract

Once the blockchain network is selected, the token image, ticker, and decimals will be filled in automatically.

  • Decimal

Indicates the number of decimal places the token uses. This ensures accurate calculation and distribution of token amounts.

  • Token image/logo

For pre-TGE tokens, upload an image or logo for your token. For tokens with an existing contract address, the image will be auto-populated from the contract.

  • Distribution method (One time distribution/vesting)

Choose how your tokens will be distributed: One-time distribution releases all eligible tokens at once, while Vesting releases tokens to participants in installments over time.

  • Earndrop Period

Define the start and end dates for your Earndrop campaign.

  • Visibility (Public/Private)

Decide whether your Earndrop will be Public, visible and discoverable by all users on the Galxe platform, or Private, accessible only via a direct link for more targeted Earndrops.

Eligibility Settings

This section is where you define who is eligible to receive your tokens.

A. For Pre-TGE token

B. For TGE token

  • Admin Address

This is the blockchain address used for contract activation, token deposits, and revocations. Losing access to this address will prevent the project from revoking any unclaimed tokens.

  • Fully Diluted Valuation & Total Token Supply

This refers to the token’s fully diluted valuation (the total value if all future tokens were in circulation) and total token supply (the maximum number of tokens that will ever exist for your project).

Note: The Fully Diluted Valuation & Total Token Supply details will be manually reviewed, and if found incorrect or unreasonable, the Earndrop campaign will not be approved for launch.

  • Eligible Addresses

Specify the individual wallet addresses eligible to receive tokens by uploading a CSV file. A sample CSV is provided for reference.

CSV File Guidelines for Earndrop

  1. File setup
      - Column A: Eligible wallet addresses
      - Column B: Token amounts in decimal format
      - No header row

  2. Convert amount to decimal format
Decimal Format = Token Amount × 10^(Token Decimals)
Example: USDT on BSC has 18 decimals. To send 5.5 USDT:
      5.5 × 10^18 = 5500000000000000000 (pure number)

  3. Final CSV format
      0xBF479A5F47624D2FBa766C7AE9B83dD430C3F983,5500000000000000000

  • Activate

After setting up all eligibility criteria, you must activate this section to confirm and enable the defined rules. Once activated, these settings cannot be changed.

Notes:

- The activation time must be earlier than the Earndrop start time, so it’s recommended to complete the setup at least 3 days before your planned launch date.

- Settings that can be changed after activation: Earndrop name, Earndrop rules, IP blocking and task groups.

- Settings that cannot be changed after activation: Token, CSV file, start and end time, and admin address.

Advanced Settings

Customize your Earndrop campaign further by adding Sybil prevention measures or premium features available with a Business+ subscription, such as IP blocking, task groups, and other advanced customizations.

Learn more on our Business+ guide.

  • Sybil Prevention (ex. Galxe Web3 Score - Humanity Score)

Enable protection against Sybil attacks to reduce bot participation and ensure fair distribution.

For more information about Sybil prevention, please check HERE.

  • IP Block

Restrict participation in your Earndrop based on geographic regions or countries.

  • Task Groups

If your Earndrop includes specific tasks (e.g., follow an X profile, get a Discord role), you can set up task groups here. While users in your CSV file are already eligible, they must complete these tasks to claim their tokens.

  • Customizations (ex. Set brand color)

Personalize the appearance of your Earndrop campaign page to align with your brand.
