FAQs

How is Galxe Score - Humanity Score calculated?

The Humanity Score reflects overall user engagement and reputation, considering interactions across various activities and platforms. It includes metrics such as Experience, Fame, Assets, Expertise, and other scores from tools like Nomis or TrustScan. The score is divided into three levels: L1 to L3, ranging from basic to strong.

The difference between “Anytime” and “Later than” in Passport V2 verification?

“Anytime” allows verification to be completed at any point in the past, while “Later than” sets a specific date, such as the past six months. This ensures that participants have undergone facial verification within the designated time frame, confirming they are genuine users.

Why might the participation rate be lower when using Sybil prevention?

Sybil prevention measures often exclude fraudulent or low-quality accounts, which can lower the total number of participants but enhance the quality and authenticity of the engagement. This is an expected outcome.

What is the advantage of using multiple Sybil prevention tools?

Multiple Sybil prevention tools provide layered security, improving accuracy in verifying user authenticity and minimizing fraudulent participation. This approach allows broader community engagement while ensuring higher quality interactions (e.g., using Group credentials such as Galxe Web3 Score - Humanity Score users, Galxe Passport V2 Holders, or Galxe+ Subscribers).

Can I adjust participation requirements after a quest is live?

Yes, participation requirements can be adjusted based on performance and project needs. However, frequent or random changes are not recommended as they might negatively affect early participants. It’s essential to communicate any adjustments clearly to maintain fairness and transparency.

What are the best practices for setting up participation requirements?

Ensure requirements are clear, achievable, and aligned with projects' interests to promote positive engagement. Focus on consistent requirements across quests to attract high-quality users and support growth.

What steps can I take to boost engagement with Sybil prevention?

Review and adjust factors like strict requirements or misalignment with user interests. For tailored advice, join our webinar sessions.

Can I modify the list of participants once the quest is live?

Unfortunately, no. Once a quest is live, you cannot modify the list of participants.

Integrate quest participation and Sybil: Add quest participation and Sybil-prevention requirements to avoid bots.

Review and Test: Thoroughly review your quest setup, including its tasks, content and run tests before releasing.

Following these tips can significantly reduce the likelihood of modifying your participant list once live, leading to a more efficient and effective quest.

Why is the participant's count not accurate with the credential count? Did Bots join my quest? (e.g. Twitter Followers, Tweet, Retweet, etc.)

Yes. When the number of quest participants does not accurately correspond to the number of new followers/retweets on the Twitter page, it may be due to bots participating. Although bots can complete tasks on Galxe, they can undo their actions on third-party sites after claiming a reward or participating in a raffle.

To prevent these bad actors from joining quests, we recommend implementing anti-sybil requirements. This ensures that only legitimate users participate and follow your social media pages. One effective method is to include the "Galxe Web3 Score" as a participation requirement to deter bots.
