Introducing Smart Balance (formerly Smart Savings)

📌 Important: Smart Savings is transitioning to Smart Balance. If you currently have funds in your Smart Savings account, please migrate your funds to Smart Balance or withdraw them before November 1. Any remaining Smart Savings balances will be automatically migrated to Smart Balance after this date.

Smart Balance unlocks the full potential of DeFi by providing seamless cross-chain interoperability. By integrating various networks, Smart Balance enables you to transfer assets effortlessly across chains, allowing you to maximize liquidity and flexibility in your asset management.

As part of this transition, new deposits (starting July 7) will be credited to your Smart Balance account. Please review the information below to understand how new deposits, existing Smart Savings funds, and withdrawals are affected during this transition.

Chain-Agnostic Gas Payment

Smart Balance is designed to combat the persistent issue of chain fragmentation in web3 while upgrading the user experience. Through its chain-agnostic attribute, Smart Balance enables users to settle payments across different blockchains. This cross-chain interoperability optimizes the experience on Galxe Quest by eliminating the need for users to bridge across multiple chains, acquire their native tokens, and do it repeatedly to claim rewards.

With Smart Balance, users can simply maintain one balance that allows them to pay for gas fees across multiple networks, including BSC, MATIC, AVALANCHE, ETHEREUM, OPTIMISM, BASE, OKC, ARBITRUM, ZkSyncEra, LINEA, MANTLE, FANTOM, ZETACHAIN, CRONOS, MERLIN, SOLANA, INJECTIVE, and GRAVITY_ALPHA.

Note: Smart Balance does not generate yield, and withdrawals from Smart Balance are not supported.

  1. Visit Galxe Smart Balance: app.galxe.com/smart-balance

  2. Connect your self-custodial wallet (e.g. MetaMask) to Galxe.

    1. Please note that we only support EOA wallet for now. Support for smart contract wallets will be added in the future.

  3. Click "Deposit" on your Smart Balance dashboard.

  4. Select the token and network for your deposit. (*see supported networks and tokens above).

  5. Enter the amount you wish to deposit (or choose “25%, 50%, or 100%”).

  6. Review the transaction details.

  7. Confirm the transaction in your wallet, paying the gas fee.

  8. Await confirmation (processing time may vary depending on network traffic).

  9. Success! Your deposit should now reflect on your latest Smart Balance.

  10. Monitor your balance on app.galxe.com/smart-balance.

Note:

  • Ensure your wallet is connected before depositing to Smart Balance. For assistance, contact our support team.

  • All deposits made on or after July 7 onwards will be credited to Smart Balance

Withdraw Existing Smart Savings balances

If you have existing funds in your Smart Savings account, you may: Migrate your funds to Smart Balance or withdraw your funds before November 1, 2026.

If no action is taken before this date, any remaining Smart Savings balance will be automatically migrated to Smart Balance.

  1. Visit Galxe Smart Balance: app.galxe.com/smart-balance

  2. Connect your self-custodial wallet (e.g. MetaMask) to Galxe.

  3. Click "Withdraw Smart Savings" on your Smart Balance dashboard.

  4. Select your deposited Vault (USDT or ETH).

  5. Enter the amount you wish to withdraw (or choose “25%, 50%, or 100%”).

  6. Review the transaction details (expected receive time, network cost, and transaction simulation).

    1. For normal withdrawals, you will be able to swap your atUSD or atETH tokens on Gravity Chain instantly to USDT or ETH onto the target chain you selected.

    2. For large amount withdrawals, if there is not enough secondary market liquidity, you will be directed to use the T+7 days withdraw route, during which your atUSD or atETH tokens will be burned and you can come back to claim your USDT or ETH tokens on Ethereum mainnet in 7 days*.

  7. Confirm the transaction in your wallet, paying the gas fee in G token.

    1. In case you don’t have enough G, you can buy some G tokens on-chain or via CEX on Gravity Bridge.

  8. Await confirmation (processing time may vary depending on network traffic).

  9. Success! Monitor your withdrawal request on your dashboard.

    1. For T+7 days withdrawals, you can check the status in the “History” tab and notification will pop up on the website when it is available to claim.

📌 Important: Once your funds have been migrated to Smart Balance, withdrawals will no longer be available.

Migrate Funds from Smart Savings to Smart Balance

If you have existing funds from your Smart Savings, you can choose to migrate it to Smart Balance for your continued usage in Galxe Quest and product payments.

  1. Visit Galxe Smart Balance: app.galxe.com/smart-balance

  2. Connect your self-custodial wallet (e.g. MetaMask) to Galxe.

    1. Please note that we only support EOA wallet for now. Support for smart contract wallets will be added in the future.

  3. Click Migrate to Smart Balance

  4. Confirm the transaction in your wallet, paying the gas fee.

  5. Success! See the latest your latest Smart Balance.

Note: Remaining funds in Smart Savings will automatically be migrated to Smart Balance after November 1, 2026.

What is the minimum deposit required to initiate a Smart Balance account?

Smart Balance accounts are accessible with no minimum deposit requirement.

Can Smart Balance be used for all payments on Galxe?

Yes, Smart Balance can be used for various functionalities on Galxe, including:

  • Covering network fees (gas) associated with claiming NFTs or other actions.

  • Paying for Galxe Score fees.

  • Paying for Galxe Passport fees.

  • Paying for Galxe+ Subscription.

  • Paying for Smart Savings fees.

Do Smart Balance credits have an expiration date?

Yes, Smart Balance credits have a validity period of one year.

Note: Smart Balance credits are non-refundable and cannot be withdrawn after they are issued.

Does Smart Balance earn yield?

No. Smart Balance is designed to hold supported funds for use within the Galxe ecosystem. It does not generate yield.

Can I withdraw funds from Smart Balance?

No. Withdrawals from Smart Balance are not supported.

If you currently have funds in your Smart Savings account, you may withdraw them before November 1, 2026. After that date, any remaining Smart Savings balances will be automatically migrated to Smart Balance.

What happens if I don't migrate my Smart Savings fund before November 1?

Any remaining balance in your Smart Savings account will be automatically migrated to Smart Balance.

Are there any fees for using Smart Balance?

Yes, a service fee applies when utilizing Smart Balance for transactions. The standard fee is 10% of the total gas fee, with a minimum of 0.01 USD.
