Welcome to Module 2 - Course 3 of Mission Web3!

In this course, we will cover everything from creating and verifying your account to buying crypto with which to fund your on-chain wallet.

Additionally, we will discuss the importance of gas tokens and introduce Coinbase as our partner to facilitate your transactions.

But first…a little bit about our partner for this course, Coinbase!

Coinbase is a secure, online platform that allows users to buy, sell, and store various cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. It provides a user-friendly interface, making it easy for individuals to trade digital currencies and manage their cryptocurrency portfolios. Additionally, Coinbase offers features such as secure storage, mobile apps, and educational resources to help users navigate the world of cryptocurrencies.

Now, let’s fund your wallet! You are going to want to buy 2 dollars worth of ETH on the Ethereum Network to start your journey.

Coinbase is a great exchange option because of its simplicity and plethora of video guides to help you navigate their platform.

Refer to this video to set up your Coinbase account (if you don’t have one already) and then refer to this video to buy ETH on Coinbase.

If you’d rather fund your wallet through Onramp or Transak, you can do so as well!

NOTE: When you withdraw your funds from either Coinbase, Onramp, or Transak, make sure you are withdrawing your funds on the Base network to your Metamask wallet address.

For users who already have funds in their Web3 wallet, you can simply bridge your existing funds to the Base network using any of the bridges below:

After depositing funds into your brand new wallet, let’s connect it to Galxe ID!

The first thing you’ll want to do is go to galxe.com, connect your wallet on the left-hand side, and set up your Galxe ID.

Your Galxe ID is a unique on-chain identity that represents “you” on the platform and allows you to participate in various activities. Think of Galxe ID as your LinkedIn for the blockchain world. It’s a universal username that replaces your wallet address and lets you show off your achievements and credentials.
