This article is for Galxe Space Owners and admins whose Discord server is already connected to their Galxe Space. If you're connecting Discord for the first time, see Create Quest: Tasks Settings → Discord.
What's changing
We've recently updated the Galxe Discord Bot. Spaces that connected their Discord server before this update are still linked through the old bot, so you'll need to re-bind your Discord server to your Galxe Space to switch to the new bot.

💡 Re-binding only takes a few minutes. You'll disconnect your current Discord connection, then reconnect it with the new bot. The Galxe bot powers Discord role rewards and Discord-related credentials in your quests.
⚠️ Important: If you don't re-bind your Discord server, existing quests with Discord tasks or Discord role rewards will fail. You don't need to recreate your quests. Re-binding is enough.
Before you start
Make sure you have:
Administrator or Manage Roles permission in your Discord server
Bound your Discord account to your Galxe Admin Account
The correct Discord account logged in on your browser (the one with admin access to the server)
How to re-bind your Discord server
1) Log in to dashboard.galxe.com
2) Go to your Space Dashboard → Settings.
3) Click the Edit icon (✏️) next to Official Links. The Official Links window will open.
4) In the Discord section, you'll see the name of your currently connected server. Click Disconnect next to it.
5) Click Confirm to disconnect your current Discord server.
6) Now click Connect Your Discord Server.
Note: you can choose to update your discord server URL or keep it as it is. Ensure that the URL is active and non-expiring link.
7) The Connect Discord window will show two requirements. For the first one, Add galxe bot to the discord server, click Add Discord Bot. A Discord window will ask you to add the bot to your server and grant it Administrator permission. Select your server, allow the permission, and authorize.
✅ Double-check: Open your Discord server's member list and confirm that GalxeBot#3420 has been added.
8) Make sure both requirements show a green checkmark, then click Connect.
9) Remove the old bot (GalxeBot#6652) from your Discord server. In your server's member list, right-click GalxeBot#6652 and select Kick. Discord may sometimes remove the old bot automatically, but double-check that it's gone.
That's it! Your Discord server is now connected to your Galxe Space through the new Galxe bot.
Troubleshooting
If you run into an error during steps 6 to 8, try these basic fixes:
Refresh the page and try again.
Clear your browser's cache, restart your browser, then redo the process.
Check your Discord permissions. Make sure your Discord account has Administrator or Manage Roles permission in the server you're connecting. If the second requirement doesn't show a green checkmark, this is usually the cause.
