Galxe Starboard is a real-time dashboard highlighting top contributors, trending discussions, and active community members across social platforms. It gives you visibility into your impact and ranking amongst other contributors.
Many projects also run quests or offer incentives using their Starboard contributor rankings, allowing active contributors to gain recognition and even earn rewards for meaningful engagement.
Getting Started
All Starboards
This section displays Starboards from different spaces. Each card highlights the project's Aura Index, Top Contributors, and Active Contributors, giving you a quick overview of community activity across the ecosystem.
Global Aura Leaders
The Global Aura Leaders represents a user's reputation across web3. It is calculated based on consistent and meaningful engagement with web3-related topics. Rankings are divided into the following views:
Overall
Displays how users rank among all web3 participants based on their total Aura Score. This score reflects a contributor's content reach, credibility, and influence, as recognized by the broader web3 community.
Regional
Shows rankings segmented by geographic region, allowing users to stand out among peers within their local or national communities.
Vertical
Groups users based on specific interest areas, such as DeFi, Exchanges, and Meme, and highlight their impact within specific sectors. These categories help surface top contributors in niche communities and themes across web3.
Project Leaderboard
The Project Leaderboard displays the top crypto projects ranked by their Aura Index, which reflects community engagement and contributions across Galxe Starboard.
Each project’s position on the leaderboard is determined by key metrics:
Aura Index: A cumulative score based on the project's community activity.
24H Change: The increase in Aura Index over the past 24 hours.
7D Change: The increase over the past 7 days.
Sentiment: A visual indicator of community sentiment (e.g., positive or neutral).
Top Contributors: A highlight of the most active and influential users in that project.
Contributors Count: Total number of users who have contributed to the project’s Aura, including new additions.
For example, projects like Bitcoin, Solana, and Ethereum are consistently leading due to high levels of engagement from their global communities.

You can access the Project Leaderboard by navigating to the “Project Leaderboard” tab in the Galxe Starboard interface.
Understanding Aura
What is Aura?
Aura is a web3 social influence credit scoring system that quantifies the post quality (how original and valuable the post is), engagement quality (endorsement by whom) and breadth (reach) of content and its dissemination, providing verifiable market resonance metrics for project teams.
The Aura Score reflects how extensively and credibly a user’s social content (e.g., a Twitter/X post) propagates across networks, including whose recognition it gains (e.g., KOLs, institutional investors). Higher propagation reach and endorsements from high-value community members correlate with a higher Aura Score.
How it’s computed
Aura is calculated based on a combination of factors, such as who promotes the content, promotion scale, and content quality. The system is designed to provide a fair and consistent measure of contributor influence and effort across the network.
Fair opportunities for small accounts: To ensure all accounts, regardless of size, are recognized for contributions on Starboard, Aura includes content quality as a factor in its computation. Content which is original, well-organized, deeply insightful, and lacking in spam-like qualities will result in the highest possible Aura.
Profile System
To provide deeper insights into individual contributors and key opinion leaders (KOLs), Galxe Starboard includes a profile system for social accounts. These profiles offer a snapshot of a user’s presence and influence in the web3 space, helping both projects and community members better understand who’s leading conversations.
Each profile includes details such as the user’s Twitter account, the Starboards they’ve actively participated in, and relevant tags that reflect their focus areas like language and domain expertise. Tags are assigned based on data from the Global Starboard and are reserved for the top 2,000 accounts in each category.

Reporting Suspicious or Bot Accounts
If a user account appears to be a bot or is engaging in suspicious activity, it can be reported directly from the Starboard interface.
How to Report an Account:
Navigate to the Starboard leaderboard.
Click the "Report" icon at the bottom.
Select “Submit”.

Aura scores may decrease or fluctuate as the Starboard algorithm is updated and low-relevance posts are filtered out. These adjustments ensure that only meaningful, high-impact activity contributes to a user's score, which can lead to changes over time.
Are all my activities on X included in Starboard?
Are all my activities on X included in Starboard?
Original posts on your X public feed are eligible to be indexed and count towards your Aura on Starboard. That said, other activities such as reposts, comments, and posts within X Communities are not eligible.

First, it's important to note that posts you make on X are not instantaneously reflected on Starboard. It may take 1 - 2 days for our indexer to fetch your post and for the post to be reflected in your Aura and on the Starboard. Once your post is included in the Starboard, its Aura is continuously recalculated thereafter.
If you don't see your posts on Starboard, head to the space homepage and click on the "Don’t see your post? Submit here." link.
You will then be prompted to submit the link to your X account (for example, https://x.com/ABC).

Yes, Starboard tracks all relevant accounts and their posts regardless of when the X account is connected.

Even with a smaller follower count, there are effective ways to grow your Aura score:
Creating authentic content. User-generated posts like reviews, insights, or project reactions are highly valued.
Spending time on high-quality posts: Starboard analyzes post content and awards higher Aura for posts that are well-structured, original, and provide value, in addition to other factors.
Getting engagement from credible accounts. Posts that are retweeted or quoted by influential users (e.g., 50K+ followers) can boost your Aura. It's about quality, not just reach.
Avoiding low-quality engagement. Interactions from fake or suspicious accounts may hurt your score.
Staying active. Consistent posting and joining web3 conversations increases your visibility to both the community and the algorithm.

Does deleting X posts affect a user's total Aura score?
Yes. Deleting posts that previously contributed to your Aura, such as those with strong engagement or recognition from influential accounts, can reduce your overall score. Aura takes into account both current and historical activity, so removing impactful content may negatively affect your standing.
It’s a good idea to be intentional with your posts, especially if you're aiming to build Aura over time. Posting meaningful content from the start can help you avoid the need to delete possts later.
If a post mentions multiple spaces, each with its own Starboard, will all Starboards record the post?

All Starboards associated with the mentioned spaces will include the post. That said, posts which are identified by our system as being "spammy" will earn lower Aura. Tagging multiple accounts in your post may lead to it being identified as "spammy".

Yes, within a few days it will. X data relevant to Starboard is continuously monitored and updated, including your handle. If you change your handle on X, this change will also be reflected on Starboard once our system has had a chance to index the updated X data. The maximum time this should take is 3 days.

To assess post quality and award Aura, several factors are considered, including the following:
Depth of Insight: Does the post express meaningful opinions or perspectives? Does it reflect deep understanding, not just surface-level summaries?
Content Quality: Is the information accurate, complete, and relevant? Does it include key facts, context, or meaningful observations?
Structure & Logic: Is the content well-organized and logically presented? Are the paragraphs and bullet points coherent and easy to follow?
Originality: Does the post bring new ideas, perspectives, or angles? Or is it just echoing common narratives or templates?
Practical Value: Is the post useful to the community or the reader? Does it offer actionable insight, real signals, or analysis?
Spamminess: Does the post avoid meaningless tags, excessive @mentions, or low-effort phrases like "reply guy", "who's bullish", etc.?
