Challenge: How to Web3 with BNB
BNB Chain is a layer 1 blockchain designed to increase interoperability and develop the underlying infrastructures of the network. The team behind this blockchain network pivoted on the vision to establish a focused value system while pushing the boundaries of scalability and supporting a large number of users.
BNB Chain reached out to Galxe because they wanted to elevate the engagement among the community through the integration of the BNB Chain on Galxe. At the same time, BNB Chain had plans to offer users an opportunity to explore and try out the BNB Chain in a learn-to-earn campaign with a line-up of rewards and prizes. With the trend where Web2 platforms transition into Web3 as a backdrop, Galxe was more than up to this challenge.
Solution
Galxe is no stranger when it comes to introducing new chains to its users.
In 2021, we launched the Ethereum-based course “DeFi 101” NFT Campaign in collaboration with CoinGecko, which rewarded users with honor badges for learning about web3. In early 2022, we grew the Solana ecosystem with the SOL Cool event, which was an inclusive multi-chain campaign that brought together 27 protocols in one massive campaign.
To obtain BNB Chain’s goal of user engagement, Galxe created an earn-to-learn program, which was hosted by BNB Chain and presented by CoinMarketCap. Not only that, Galxe also brought in nine other projects and protocols, where each project hosted a lesson on the CoinMarketCap Earn program. With each completed lesson and quiz on CoinMarketCap Earn, it unlocks additional ‘homework’ for users, which allows them to claim an OAT (On-Chain Achievement Token) NFT Badge on Galxe.
Results
The total prize pool among all the projects and protocols involved amounted to 400K in NFTs and tokens. This catapulted the campaign and attracted over 150,052 users with 49,279 OATs claimed and 240,625 page views.
