In the world of online campaigns, authenticity and genuine engagement are paramount. To ensure the integrity of campaigns on Galxe, a sybil prevention credential has been implemented. This credential serves as a prerequisite or an additional verification step, ensuring that only genuine users can participate.

By incorporating the sybil prevention credential into campaign requirements, Galxe minimizes the presence of bots or fake users. This extra layer of security and trust creates a safer environment for projects and participants to connect and collaborate. The credential's verification process guarantees that participants have undergone the necessary steps to establish their authenticity.

Not only does the sybil prevention credential protect against fraudulent activities, but it also provides project owners with reliable and accurate data, feedback, and engagement. By filtering out bots and fake users, Galxe promotes a genuine and trustworthy campaign experience.

The sybil prevention credential acts as a safeguard, enhancing the overall quality and authenticity of campaigns on Galxe. It contributes to a vibrant and engaging environment where projects can connect with real users, receive valuable feedback, and achieve their goals. With this credential in place, Galxe reinforces its commitment to promoting genuine engagement and fostering a community built on trust and authenticity.

Types of Sybil Prevention Credential

There are several types of sybil prevention credentials implemented on Galxe to ensure the authenticity of campaign participation:

Onchain Credentials: These credentials involve onchain tasks or actions specific to the Galxe platform. Users may need to complete certain transactions or actions within the platform, such as making swaps or participating in token transfers. Onchain credentials leverage the transparency and immutability of blockchain transactions to verify user activity and engagement.

Galxe Passport: Galxe Passport is a sybil prevention credential that requires users to create and verify their Galxe Passport account. It involves a verification process where users provide necessary information and undergo identity verification. Galxe Passport enhances the authenticity and trustworthiness of participants, ensuring they are genuine users and not bots or fake accounts.

Binance Account Bound SBT (Soulbound Token): BAB SBT is a unique sybil prevention credential introduced by Binance. It is the first-ever soulbound token on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). BAB SBT is designed to be securely bound to a Binance account, creating a link between the user's Binance account and their Galxe profile. This credential helps validate the authenticity of participants and prevents the use of multiple accounts.

Web3 Domain Holders (powered by SPACE ID Web3 Name SDK): Web3 Domain Holders (powered by SPACE ID Web3 Name SDK) are users who own at least one of the domain extensions .eth, .bnb, and .arb. These domains are specifically designed for the decentralized web, or Web3. They allow users to establish their online identity, participate in decentralized activities, and shape the future of the decentralized internet. Similar to Binance Account Bound SBT, Web3 Domain Holders' ownership of these domains validates their authenticity and prevents the use of multiple accounts in the decentralized ecosystem.

Gitcoin Passport Score: Gitcoin Passport Score is a system that validates a user's identity and online reputation in the web3 space. By collecting verification stamps, user can gain access to trustworthy web3 experiences and increase their opportunities to participate and vote on platforms like Gitcoin Grants. The more score you get, the more opportunities you will have to vote and participate across the web3.

Chain Transactors: Chain Transactors is a sybil prevention credential that considers the number of transactions a user has performed on a specific blockchain, such as Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain. Users with a higher number of legitimate transactions are deemed more trustworthy and are granted access to participate in campaigns and earn rewards. This credential leverages the transparency and immutability of blockchain transactions to verify user authenticity.
