What is a Digital Wallet?

Don't reveal sensitive details about your wallet to anyone. Like your password or recovery phrase.
Your wallet lets you share your public address easily.
A public address is like a bank account number that anyone can see, use to verify your assets or check your history.
Not only is a wallet address an account, but it's also a username that can get used to identify an entity.
If anyone other than you accesses your wallet, they can take advantage of it. In the same way, they can abuse other digital accounts across the internet.
For these reasons, you must be cautious and understand a digital wallet.

Connecting Additional Networks or Wallets to Your Galxe ID
If you've been to your profile settings, you may have noticed that Galxe supports many networks. 📡
A wallet is easy to access from your web browser when it's an extension, this allows you to link additional addresses, other networks or different wallets to your Galxe ID.
If a wallet is an app, you may need to use Wallet Connect to connect to Galxe or use the browser inside the app.
With a wallet, you can hold, trade, and spend ETH/BNB, NFTs, and other digital assets.
ℹ️ Note: If addresses on a blockchain start with 0x, it's an 'EVM Chain' and compatible with wallets like Metamask.
How do I set up a wallet?
Setting up a wallet is as easy as choosing the one you want and downloading it to your device.
Go to the app store or the official website of the wallet that you want to use.
You'll need to download a wallet as either an app or an extension.

How to Install Metamask:
Visit the Metamask website. (Verify it is metamask.io)
Click the “Download” button.
You'll get redirected to the relevant store to download the extension or app based on your device.
After adding the MetaMask extension to your browser, it will automatically open.
How to Create a New Wallet With Metamask:
After downloading Metamask, you have two options:
Create a new wallet
Import an existing wallet
If you already have a wallet, you can import it now.

Write down your recovery phrase

Tips & Important Wallet Information
You can make sure your wallet is easily accessible via your toolbar. Click on the jigsaw icon in the screen's top-right, and hit the pin icon. (May differ from browser to browser)
NEVER EVER SHARE YOUR SECRET RECOVERY PHRASE OR PRIVATE KEY
Pay close attention to your Secret Recovery Phrase, and store it somewhere safe where only you can find it.
If you lose this series of words or forget their order, you will lose access to your wallet and assets. The wallet will not be recoverable.
Store your recovery phrase in a safe, secure spot— that you can remember!
